Time to improvise

Stetson, Farfalla, Jippo

Yesterday I also spent time adding temporary step-in posts to raise the level of the fence where the snow drifted over.

It is not ideal but works for now, the horses are pretty good about respecting the hotwire. I'll have to raise the level of that fence again when things thaw out.

Digging out

It took 6 hours to get this far with the skidster and there is still more snow to clear

Birthday hat

We did make it to town

On my birthday

The wind is still blowing and drifting over the top of the fence

I have been snowed in for 9 days and we're all sick

Tomorrow a skidster is being delivered if they can get through. That should dig us out so things are looking up.

Sawg dawg went to sleep under the pigeon coop last night and I had to dig her out

I'm glad I knew where to dig to find her

Drifted again

Heading out to get propane on the snowmobile

snow covering a horse feeder in the back dry lot

The road is completely drifted back over, 4'+ deep on one side

We should have left the truck on the other side,
here the drifted snow is 3' deep

And the snow keeps blowing

Almost dug out

Snow removal crew

A neighbor cleared a little chute through the snow, just barely wide enough for the truck to squeak through but not wide enough for the snow plow blade

checking the snow depth

After a few passes with the truck we were able to knock the plow blade through and cleared the road more to take the trucks home
